Letter : [Twickenham], to [Charles Burney], 1786 July 6.

ALS from Horace Walpole written from Strawberry Hill, to Charles Burney expressing his delight on hearing of his daughter Fanny's appointment as second keeper of the Queens' robes and his hopes that her preferment will not keep her from visiting him at Strawberry Hill. He also expresses his suspicion that Mrs. Delany had not contributed to his daughter's success and might view her as a threat.
